Why SEO Is Like Flying An Airplane

Blog_Header_Post

Flying an airplane from, say, Sydney to the Gold Coast, requires an extremely well developed sense of spatial awareness, technical expertise and an in-depth sense of where you are heading. In effect, you need to understand the plane and your route intimately.

Whilst this may seem like a logical sequence of forward planning, the same hierarchy of organisational skills is also true when embarking on an Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) campaign.

This is why SEO is like flying an airplane.

SEO thrives on content creation and promotion.  Done properly, SEO services achieve super affordable market exposure as locally or internationally as you want it. But without the skill and background knowledge of what your client is all about, you are, to use an aeronautical term, quite literally flying blind.

So what is SEO from a true expert in the discipline? Experts have many technology platforms at their disposal, but the better operators will have experienced content specialists and will intimately understand how to document the various persona groups into where your clients fall so your marketing reduces its waste percentage.

Whilst pilots have compasses, altimeters, GPS technology and a host of other technological wizardry to keep them level and going in the right direction, SEO experts will have experienced web specialists and skilled content specialists.

Without the right parter company to steer this mathematical science (and it is a science), your search optimisation may well end up like that airline a few years ago that was supposed to fly to Sydney, Australia but somehow ended up landing in Sydney, Canada - some 20,000 km away!

Flying a plane may not come naturally, but the same can also be said for running an effective Search Optimisation Program.

So if you want your SEO program to move in the same direction as your client’s business and ultimately land safely at the exact spot you want your next client to find you, your search specialist must understand your clients' business as well as they do.

Don't expect anything less.
