Is my website worth the trouble? Just look at Uber and Netflix

Sometimes when society is motivated into a collective fuss we tend to miss the true point of why we are all suddenly alerted to things.

First it was Netflix with its on-demand digital entertainment delivery, and more recently Uber with its stylised and realistically functional taxi service that turned incumbent models right on their collective heads.

And why are they unstoppable? Because their respective operating models are largely delivered by digital means. In the case of Netflix, it is almost exclusively delivered and managed through the internet.

So where is this dissertation leading? I’ll tell you. You are either a business owner or manage an employer’s website and it may not have dawned on you just how powerful your website can be.

Believe it or not, your website can be equally as global as the web platforms utilised by Uber and Netflix, and just like them you can profit from its powerful ability to procure leads and drive sales. Anyone into website design or a website builder should know this.

Because of the digital revolution, this is creative destruction at its best and it is occurring naturally and having the same effect as the advent of air travel did on commercial sea-passenger transport.

If you learn how to put your website to it use in its utmost capacity as a digital marketer with a digital strategy would do for you, you will be amazed and are very likely to eat into the markets of much larger competitors.

Sydney Morning Herald digital editor John McDuling puts the whole Uber and Netflix journey into an excellent perspective, which you can read by clicking here ⊕.

After reading his article, if you would like free information from a digital marketing strategy  expert explaining website mysteries in very simple English, you are more than welcome to download our e-book as a ready reckoner.

You might just be the next company to unseat a market incumbent.
